The Art of Teaching

      Teaching is an art. All of use teacher we both play a role on each other, because if we only demonstrates using one of these types of teaching our classroom will most likely be very boring. We need to put an art in teaching when we demonstrates about certain topic. We must use creative ways to present and make an reliable materials to make our lesson to be fun and more interesting for our students. Us teacher will be the one who molds them and help them to be a good learners. We are the best tool for enhancing creative abilities to our students. It is an art, because us teachers create the future of our students and all teachers must bring ourselves fully into our teaching.

Teachers Morality

      Respecting the beliefs, attitudes and values of others is what others need. It is important to accept and respect other people that have different attitudes, values and beliefs with us. Because we can encounter a different students that have a different moral values. So as a teacher we must teach our students a proper values and respecting others beliefs to avoid conflict. It is important to tell to our students that we have a different values and beliefs that we cannot force them to have same with us. We should also teach to our students to respect others. We must be the one who are responsible for the moral values that our students need to know and understand. Our goal is to raise children to become morally responsible. Let's teach our students a good character education which is about human values, including honesty, kindness, generosity, courage, freedom, equality, and respect. Us teachers must be the one who will be a role model to them not just teach them, we should also apply it to ourselves.

Elements of Effective Teaching

       There are six elements of effective teaching and these are Content Knowledge, Quality of Instruction, Teaching Climate, Classroom Management, Teacher’s Belief and Professional Behavior, all of these must include in our list to become an effective teacher. We should think an appropriate ideas to achieve our students a good quality education. Like in my observation this semester my one of my resource teacher has a good classroom management because before she enter in the classroom every students stand up and pray and all of the classroom are very clear. She had also a mastery of the subject, when she discuss about the certain lesson/topic she know on how to deliver it properly the way that student understand the lesson. I'm very amaze to her, in the way she teach and in the way she approach her students. I observe that she is very approachable because when her students have recitation in class she help them when they have difficulty in reading and no one can allow to laugh when her students have wrong pronounce in words. I said to my self that when I become a Teacher, I will also do her strategy incomes in teaching. To be an effective teacher and to make my students have a quuality education.

Educational Philosopy

       There are five educational philosophy in education this are Essentialism, Perennialism, Progressivism, Social Reconstructionism and Existentialism. We must know on what type of philosophy are we, if we are a teacher centered or student centered. We should consider first if our students have enough learning to know if learning is taking place and if they learn best. Using our educational philosophy we should create a new techniques or strategies to make our lessons work. For me I chose progressivism as a educational philosophy, because it is a student centered. With this I can know if my students have learn if they can participate well and it have a progress in learning. I will let them solve their own problem, with that they can make their own solution using their critical thinking. With the help of collaboration with their classmates they can be knowledgeable and they show their skills. It makes them prepare in life. Like John Dewey said " Education is not preparation for life; Education is life itself." With this having a education makes us become a powerful person, it is important to have a education to make our life a wonderful.

Observer's Orientation

       Having an orientation in school where we assigned is important. Because it encourages us to know if what is the schools have and how high school students have different behaviors. They tell us about something that we should do and what we cannot do. They also tell their regulations about their school. Being an observer makes us have confidence in our self and helps us to adapt the teaching environment. We can learn a lot of things in teaching by the help of our resource teacher. It also promotes communication between the teachers and students. By observing in a class and in a teacher it can show on how we handle our students in the future and teach us a strategy in teaching.

Discipline and Procedure

   In videos part 3 of Dr. Harry Wong it talked about the differences between Discipline and Procedures inside the classroom. He said that An Effective Teacher are more on Managing the class than Disciplining the class. I agree with that, because if you don't know on how to manage your classroom you will able to fail in your teaching strategy. He also mentioned that the student should know their teachers like and dislike. Like come in class late, always absence and so on. I also agree with Dr. Wong, that the number one problem in the classroom is not discipline but it is the lack of procedures and routines. I believe that procedure and routines make the students become more active in learning. As a teacher before the class strart we must tell the do's and dont's in classrom so that our student give respect to our wants. We must be the one who give procedure to our students to have discipline and also respect. If we don't have plan in our teaching, we will able to fail. So we must plan for the learning strategy to make our learners to be in a learning progress.

Classroom Management

  In the videos part 2 of Dr. Harry Wong about Effective teacher is about Classroom management. I learned that on the first day of school the teacher must give his/her rules and regulations inside the classroom so that the students will know the Do's and Don'ts that they need to know and follow. This is the one most commonly key to be a classroom to be effective. We must tell our students the rules and regulation in our school or inside our classroom. With this if you have a good classroom management every students love to learn and it can be conducive for learning. As a teacher we must give our best to help our students to learn and gain knowledge in the lesson that we teach. So that, it will help them in the future to be responsible and successful.

Education prepare you for life.

We watch two videos that two countries showed their education system and for me they are both have a good educational system that make students to learn in their own. The first video is Finland they help their students to discover their own skills and they encourage learners to habe collaboration with each others. The second one is Singapore, they teach students to use technology for their learning progress. Through technology students learn and enhance their critical thinking skills to become an independent learner.  In every countries need to achieve the needs of students and improve more on the facilities and other materials that need the students to learn. Every students and parents wishes for their quality education that engage them to the learning progress.

The Effective Teacher By Dr. Wong

  In the first video that we watch, it talks about on how teachers can be effective in the classroom. Dr.Wong said that there are 4 stages of teaching these are the fantasy, survival, mastery and impact. Dr.Wong show on how effective teachers affects lives to the students in the classroom situation. With this, as a future teacher it help us and give idea on how to be more effective teacher that help our student to grow their knowledge and understanding. We must be always prepare and have mastery in the lesson that we teach, so that our students actively participate in our discussion. We should never give up and try our best to help our students to learn. We must be effective which is doing the right things not to be efficient which doing things right.
